The steps in this article are for Dashboards & Analytics (Amazon Q) users only. If you use Reports (Microstrategy), proceed to these articles instead.
This article covers the following:
Existing Users
Users with access to Dashboards & Analytics will appear under the Users tab of the Administration page.
Here, administrators can view the following:
- License Type: Displays if the user has a Reader, Author, or Author Pro license.
- Admin: Displays if the user has administrator rights (true, false). This determines if an admin can manage permissions for the client-named folder and its contents.
Adding External Recipients
Authors or Author Pros can add external recipients. These recipients can then receive scheduled dashboard deliveries.
- Click Corporate Profile from under your user name.

Click Dashboard And Analytics Admin from under the Dashboards and Analytics section.
- Click the Recipients tab.

Click +Add External User.
The Add External Recipients window displays.
Click Import Users to download a CSV Template. Fill out the template, then click Choose a File to upload and import multiple users at a time.
- Enter a first name.
- Enter a last name.
- Enter an email address.
- Optional: Click Add Recipient to create another row for additional recipients.
- Click Save.
Creating Groups
Groups allow you to schedule, deliver, and manage dashboards to more than one user. After creating a group, you can select it when scheduling and sharing dashboards.
- Click Corporate Profile from under your user name.

Click Dashboard And Analytics Admin from under the Dashboards and Analytics section.
- Click the Reporting Groups tab.

Click +Create Group.
The Add Group window displays.

Enter a group name.
Group names cannot contain spaces. An error will display upon saving a name with spaces.
- Enter a description.
- Place a checkmark next to the user(s).
- Click Add to Group. You can view the members you've added by clicking the Group Members tab.
- Click Save.
