Saving a Standard Dashboard as a New Dashboard
Dashboards & Analytics comes with a set of pre-defined, standard dashboards. You can share these dashboards with other users but they need to be saved as a new dashboard first.
- Click Shared folders.

Click a folder with your company name and the topic (e.g. Matter).
- Click a dashboard name.

Click Save as.
- Enter an analysis name.
- Click Save.
The analysis displays. Once the analysis is published it can be shared with other users.
Publishing a Dashboard
Publishing converts your analysis into a dashboard that other users can view and interact with.

Click Analyses from the left navigation panel.
- Open the analysis.

Click Publish.
The Publish dashboard window displays.

Fill out the fields as needed. A name is required before you can publish.
Option Description Dashboard name Enter a name for the dashboard. Select sheets Select sheets in the analysis to publish. Add notes Enter any notes about the dashboard. Generative capabilities Choose an option for AI capabilities:
- Allow executive summary: Allow the sheets selected in the dashboard to have a Summarize button available. If enabled, only Authors or Author Pros can use this function.
- Allow data Q&A: Allow the sheets selected in the dashboard to have a Q&A button available.
Data snapshot options Choose whether viewers of your dashboard can create and share Stories based on it. More Settings
Dashboard options Choose to include:
- Expand top of sheet controls panel by default: Opens the filter/control panel automatically when the dashboard loads.
- Enable ad hoc filtering: Lets users create their own filters on the fly.
- Enable on-hover tooltip: Shows tooltips when users hover over data points.
- Enable print: Allows users to print the dashboard directly.
- Enable on-demand PDF generation: Lets users export the dashboard to a PDF.
Visual options Choose to include:
- Enable maximize visual option: Users can expand a single chart to full screen.
- Enable visual menu: Shows the three-dot menu (⋮) on visuals (e.g. export, sort, drill).
- Enable on-demand export to CSV and Excel: Allows users to download data behind visuals.
- Enable export of hidden fields on supported visuals: Includes fields not visible in the chart in exports.
Data point options Choose to include:
- Enable drill up/down:
- Enable on-click tooltip:
- Enable sort options:
- Click Publish Dashboard.
Update a published dashboard
Open the dashboard and validate that the visuals, filters, and layout appear as expected. If not, you can republish it after you make necessary changes.
- Open the source analysis.
- Make your changes.
- Click Publish.

Select Replace existing dashboard.
- Make changes as necessary.
- Click Publish dashboard.
Managing Dashboard Versions
Version history helps you review changes over time and restore a prior version if needed.
- Open the published dashboard.
- Open Version History.
- Review available versions.

Click Publish on a previous version if needed.
Sharing Dashboards with Users
Share a dashboard individually when:
- You need to restrict access to specific users
- You want tight control over who can see it
- You share with a small, defined audience
Permission levels
- Viewer: Can view, export, print, bookmark, and in some cases schedule delivery to self.
- Co-owner: Can view, edit, publish, share, and manage the dashboard. This is typically limited to Author or Author Pro users.
Share important dashboards with at least one additional qualified Author in your organization so someone else can manage them if the original owner is unavailable. Contact Customer Support if you need to add or remove users or assign licenses.
- Open the dashboard.

Click Share dashboard.
Standard dashboards cannot be shared. If you do not see the Share dashboard icon, save the dashboard as a new version first before sharing.
The Share dashboard page displays.
- Search for the user by name or email address.

Click Add.
- Choose a permission level.
- Viewer: Can view, export, print, bookmark, and schedule snapshot deliveries to themselves. This is the only option for Readers.
- Co-Owner: Has all the abilities of a Viewer. Additionally, they can also edit, publish, share, and schedule snapshot deliveries to others. Only available to Authors or Author Pros.
Adding a Dashboard to a Shared Folder

- Locate the dashboard.

Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to the folder.
- Select Add to folder.
- Choose the target shared folder.
- Click Add.
Scheduling Dashboard Delivery
Schedule an email snapshot (e.g., a subscription) of key dashboard data for automatic delivery to stakeholders. You can schedule delivery to yourself, other licensed users, and configured external recipients.
Before you begin
- Confirm the dashboard is shared with the recipient.
- Confirm you have permission to schedule delivery for that dashboard.
- For external recipients, ensure they have been configured in advance if required by your organization. To configure, send the recipient’s information, including name and email address, to reportinghelp@lexisnexis.com.
- Open the dashboard.
- Click Scheduling.

Select Schedules.

Click +Add. The New Schedule panel displays.

Fill out the fields.
Field Description Schedule name Enter a schedule name. Description Enter a description of the dashboard view. Dashboard view Select Custom view (current view with filters and customizations) or Original dashboard view. Content Choose the output format, such as PDF, CSV, or Excel when available. You must create separate schedules to send each sheet on multi-sheet dashboards. Dates Set the delivery frequency. Email Customize email details. To schedule for another user, select their license number from the Email recipient list.
If the Email recipient field does not display, you need to add the user's email into the system. Identify the current dashboard owner and either ask them to configure the schedule or make you a co-owner.
File attachment Select File Attachment. The default is to send a Download Link. Do NOT use this option. Recipients are not authorized to log in through an email link to view snapshots. - Click Send Test to send a test delivery.
- Click Save.
