The Legal Analytics Dashboard helps identify trends for outside counsel spending. It provides a summary trend and a breakdown of spend by matter type, vendors, matters, and invoices.
Once the proper configurations and user roles have been assigned, the Legal Analytics Dashboard can be accessed from the Billing panel on the homepage.
You must have the Dashboard Administrator role to view dashboards for your organization.
You can also access the dashboard from the Analytics Dashboard page.
Once you select it, the Legal Analytics Dashboard displays.
Controls
Selecting the Controls drop down will reveal a list of filters.
Viewing the Graphs
The graphs below show the recent three years. We see the Savings Amounts for the 'Last 12 Months' and the 'Last 13-24 Months', whereby the difference of $636.0K is displayed. The second box displays the Last 12 Months and the Last 13-24 Months for Lost Savings of a -$116.5K. The last box displays the difference of -23 between the Matters created for the Last 12 Months as compared to the Last 13-24 Months. The dashboard also contains information for the Spend by Approved Year, Hours Billed, and more for approved invoices.
When you click a bar in the graph, all other graphs will filter based on the bar you've clicked. The grids will update as well. By default, the dashboard displays data for a specific year, but you can drill down to a specific month or up to another year by right clicking on a specific graph.
Once you click it, the drilled down monthly report will display.
You can also choose to drill down or up by selecting the arrows to the right of the graph. The up arrow with the line above it will bring you back to the top option available.

Underneath the graphs, you will find additional visuals on Legal Spend data and information. These include Top 10 Vendors by Spend, Top 10 Matters by Spend, and Top 10 Invoices by Spend. The information in these lists corresponds to the filters that you have selected at the top.
To display and view additional information for items contained in the list, you can right-click on an item to display its overview page.
