About Report Home
The Report Home menu includes various options for you to save, design, view, and share your report.
You can also access these tools by clicking the arrow next to the Report Home name.
Using the Report Home Options
Hover over an icon on the tool bar to reveal its title.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Save | Save any changes made to your report. |
| Undo | Undo a change made to your report. Only available if you've made a change. |
| Redo | Redo a change made to your report. Only available if you've reversed a change first. |
| Design | Design and format your current report in Design mode. |
| Grid | View the report in the grid format. By default, the report is in Grid view. |
| Graph |
View the report in graph format. Click Design for more options. |
| Grid and Graph | View the report in both grid and graph format. |
| Add to History List | Add the report to your History List. Your History List is available on the Reports homepage. |
| Create Personal View | Save your current report view to your own personal list. Once clicked, the report will become available in the My Subscription section. |
| Share | Copy the report link or share the report details through email. |
| Access a printable version of the report. | |
| Send Now | Send the report results to another CounselLink user. |
| Schedule Delivery to History List | Send the report to your History List on a specific schedule. |
| Export | Export the report the format you choose. |
| Export a copy of the report as a PDF. | |
| Re-prompt | Return to the initial prompt for running your report. |
| Full Screen Mode | Enter full screen mode for your report details. |
Data Menu
The Data menu includes various options for you to edit and arrange the data in your report.
You can also access these tools by clicking the arrow next to the Data name.
Using the Data Options
Click a link in the Option column to view more information if available.

| Save | Save any changes made to your report. |
| Undo | Undo a change made to your report. Only available if you've made a change. |
| Redo | Redo a change made to your report. Only available if you've reversed a change first. |
| Design | Design and format your current report in Design mode. |
| Grid | View the report in the grid format. By default, the report is generated in the Grid view. |
| Graph |
View the report in graph format. To change the view of the graph generated, click the Design button for more options. |
| Grid and Graph | Click this to view the report in both grid and graph format. |
| Add View Filter Condition | Click this to define conditions for a view filter to exclude data from a grid or graph. |
| Sort |
Click this to sort the data in your report grid based on multiple data set objects at the same time. This window allows you to specify the attribute or metric to sort by and whether you would like it to be in ascending or descending order. |
| Drill | Click this to bring up the Drill box above the report data. |
| Filter on Selections | Click this after selecting a section in your report to add filters to just that section. |
| Hide nulls/zeros | Click this show or hide null and zero values in your report data. |
| Refresh | Click this to refresh your report. |
| Re-prompt | Click this to return to the initial prompt for running your report. |
| Swap Rows and Columns | Click this to change the data displayed in the rows with the data displayed in the columns of a selected grid. |
| Insert New Metric | Click this to create a new metric to add to your grid or data set. |
| Rename/Edit Objects | Click this to rename an object on your report. |
| Edit Attribute Forms | Click this to define your attribute forms as DESC, ID, or both. |
| Toggle Attribute Form Names |
Click this to show or hide all attribute forms for an attribute in a grid or graph. This is only available if the attribute has multiple attribute forms. |
| Show Totals | Click this to show or hide totals or subtotals on your grid or graph. |
| Edit Totals |
Click this to display the Subtotals Editor window. Here, you can define the totals used and where they are displayed. |
| Quick Thresholds | Click this to select a predefined threshold for the grid or graph. |
| Toggle Thresholds | Click this to show or hide thresholds on the report. |
| Visual Threshold Editor | Click this to create a simple threshold based on a metric. |
| Advanced Thresholds Editor | Click this to access the Advanced Conditional Formatting Editor. This allows you to create thresholds based on multiple metrics. |
Format Menu
The Format menu includes various styling options for your report.
You can also access a condensed version of these formatting tools by clicking the arrow next to Format on the menu.
Using the Format Options
Click a link in the Option column to view more information if available.
Hover over an icon on the tool bar to reveal its title. Some of these options are unavailable if you have selected it in Graph format.

| Save | Click to Save any changes made to your report. |
| Undo | Click to Undo a change made to your report. Only available if you've made a change. |
| Redo | Click to Redo a change made to your report. Only available if you've reversed a change first. |
| Design | Click this to design and format your current report in Design mode. |
| Grid | Click this to view the report in the grid format. By default, the report is generated in the Grid view. |
| Graph |
Click this to view the report in graph format. To change the view of the graph generated, click the Design button for more options. |
| Grid and Graph | Click this to view the report in both grid and graph format. |
| Object Selection |
Select an option from on of these drop downs to specify which part of the report data to format. Your options will change if the report is in grid or graph form. |
| Font | Select a font for the report or section of the report. |
| Font Size | Select a font size for the report or selection of the report. |
| Styling Options | Select a style option (bold, italics, underline, alignment) for the report or section of the report. |
| Currency Style | Select a number and click this icon to change it to a currency. |
| Percent Style | Select a number and click this icon to change it to a percentage. |
| Comma Style | Select a number and click this icon to change the decimal every three digits to a comma. |
| Increase Decimal | Click this to increase the number of digits that display after the decimal point. |
| Decrease Decimal | Click this to decrease the number of digits that display after the decimal point. |
| Color Options | Select one of these boxes (fill, line, text) to change the color for that particular item. |
| Borders | Click this to define the borders that display around a control. |
| Border Style | Click this to change the border style around a control. |
| Advanced Grid Formatting | Click this to set advanced font, number, alignment, color, and line formatting on a grid. |
| Advanced Graph Formatting | Click this to set advanced font, number, alignment, color, and line formatting on a graph. |
Tools Menu
The Tools menu includes various options for you to alter the display of your report.
You can also access these tools by clicking the arrow next to the Tools name.

| Page-By Axis |
Click this to show or hide the Page-By function at the top of your report. |
| View Filter | Click this to show or hide the Filter section in your report. |
| Report Details | Click this to show or hide the Report Details in your report. |
| Prompt Details | Click this to show or hide the prompt details in your report. |
| Show pivot buttons | Click this to show or hide grid formatting capabilities. These buttons appears on existing objects in your report and allow you to move an object to a column/row, move the object left/right, add a page-by filter, or remove the object from the grid. |
| Show sort buttons | Click this to show or hide the sort button, which sorts a column from A-Z or Z-A. |
| Graph Zones | Click this to show or hide the objects on the x and y axis of a graph. |
| Report Options... | Click this to change general report options, such as drilling capabilities, report formatting, and determining who can view your report. |
