These reports show how effectively your organization uses Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) to manage legal costs.
Invoice fees are categorized as “Alternative” when:
Charges are non-hourly, or
The effective timekeeper rate falls outside the defined thresholds for partners and non-partners.
You must have the Dashboard Administrator role to view dashboards for your organization.
Controls
Selecting the Controls dropdown reveals a list of filters. Changing filter selections updates the graphs below.
Viewing the Graphs
The dashboard displays three panels:
- % of Matters with AFA
Displays the percentage of total matters that include charges billed under alternative fee arrangements. This represents the count of alternative matters as a percentage of the total matter count, compared against benchmark data. - % of Matter Spend with AFA
Displays total fees billed under alternative rate arrangements as a percentage of total matter fees and costs. - AFA Summary
Provides a summary view of both metrics above and includes AFA matter counts.
Hover over a graph to display benchmark details. From the graph controls, you can:
Expand or collapse the panel
Maximize the panel
Export the data to a CSV file
Customer Attributes
The Customer Attributes tab consists of the Customer Attributes and the Matter Attributes sections. It lists information for the Customer Name, Customer Industry, Customer Sub-Industry, and Customer Revenue. The Matter Attributes section lists the Matter Category, Matter Sub-Category, Matter Type, Customer Office Name, and the #Matters (number of matters).
To expand or collapse a section in the Matter Attributes area, click the associated plus (+) icon.
To export the data, click the ellipsis (three-dot) icon located in the upper-right corner and select export.
