There are times when you need to update the status of multiple matters or modify the law firms or workflows assigned to them. For example, you may need to assign a law firm to multiple matters or update their invoice workflow. You can perform these bulk actions from the Matters Search page.

Adding a Journal Entry to Multiple Matters
If you need to create a journal entry for more than one matter, you can do so from the Matters Search page.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Add Journal Entry from the drop down menu.
The Add Journal Entry window displays.

Complete the fields as necessary.
Attachments can not be added in journal entries for multiple matters. To include attachments, create the journal entry for one matter at a time.
- Click Save.
Printing Matter Overviews for Multiple Matters
A Matter Overview Report contains key information from the Matter Overview page. You can generate a report for multiple matters and print it or save it as a PDF.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Print Matter Overview from the drop down menu.
A Matter Overview Report window displays.
- Click Print. A Print window displays with printing options.
- Click Print. The Save As window displays.
- Enter a name for the document.
- Click Save.
Updating Matter Information on Multiple Matters
You can update one or more matters from the Matters Search page. You can also apply budget and calendar templates. If configured for your account, selected custom data fields may also be updated.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Update Matter Information from the drop down menu.
The Mass Update Matter Information window displays.
- In the Field drop down, select the field you want to update.
- In the Update To list, select the new value to be assigned.
- Click Save to be taken back to the search page or Save & Update Another Field to make another update.
Reassigning Matter Contacts
You can quickly reassign the Matter Contact, Invoice Contact, or Budget Contact for one or more matters from the Matter Search page.
When a contact is changed, any matter tasks assigned to the previous contact are also reassigned to the new contact.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Reassign Matter Contacts from the list.
The Reassign Matter Contacts page appears.
- Select Field and choose which type of contact you would like to update.
- Select Update To and choose a user to assign to the selected role.
- Click Save.
Updating the Invoice Workflow on Multiple Matters
You can update the invoice workflow on one or more matters at the same time.
You must have the Corporate Matter Assign or Workflow Administrator role to perform this action.
- Navigate to the Matters Search page.
- Place a check mark next to the matters.
- Click More Actions.

Select Change Invoice Workflow from the drop down menu.
The Change Invoice Workflow window displays.
- Click the Select an office drop down and select an office from the list.
- Click the Select a New Workflow drop down and select a new workflow from the list.
- Click the Update Invoice Workflow button.
