Viewing the Matter Calendar
A matter’s calendar allows you to create and view events associated with the matter.
You can access the calendar by two ways:

Click Calendar from under the More Actions drop-down in the top right corner of the Matter Overview page.

Clicking View Calendar on the Calendar tab of the Matter Overview page.

Using the Matter Calendar
At the top of the page, you will see two buttons:

Permissions - Manage which users can access the calendar.
You must have the Calendar Administrator, Matter Setup, or Matter Contact role to access Permissions.
- Event Types - Filter the calendar by event type.
To create an event, hover over a time slot and click Create Event.
Viewing a Calendar Event
Click an existing event name to open a slide-out panel with event details.
To view the full page, click View Event Overview to open the Calendar Event Overview page.
Filtering the Calendar View
You can adjust the calendar display using the controls on the calendar page.

Use the arrows next to Today to toggle your calendar view. For example, if you are viewing by week, click the arrows to look at previous or future weeks. Click the time frame next to the arrows to reveal a calendar drop-down . |

Click Show full day or Show business hours at the bottom of the calendar to view all hours of the day or only business hours. |
Using Permissions
You can control who has access to a matter's calendar.
You must have the Calendar Administrator, Matter Setup, or Matter Contact role to modify the Permissions.
- Navigate to the Matter Overview page.
- Click View Calendar. The Matter Calendar page displays.

Click Permissions. The Calendar Permissions page displays.

Click Calendar Access and select an option from the drop-down list.

Optional: Add users to the calendar.
- Select the resource(s) to grant access.
- Click Add.
- Click Save.
Calendar Event Overview Page
Actions on the Event Overview page
The top right corner of the Calendar Event Overview page contains several actions that you can perform on the event.

Tabs on the Calendar Event Overview Page
The overview page contains two tabs related to the event.

| History | Contains a history of all changes performed on the event since its creation. |
Adding a Calendar Event to a Matter
You can create events to track meetings, milestones, or tasks associated with a matter.
- Access the Create Calendar Event page by one of three ways:

Click Create Event on the Calendar Search page.

Click Create Event from the Calendar tab on the Matter Overview page.

Click Create Event on the Matter Calendar page.
The Create Calendar Event page displays.

Enter the required information in the fields.
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
Field Description Event Type* Select an event type from the drop-down list. Subject* Enter a name for the event. Related To Matter Select the related matter. If you create the event from the Matter Overview page, the matter is selected by default. Owner* If you create the event from the Matter Overview page, your user name is selected by default. Priority* Select High, Normal, or Low.
Progress Enter a percentage to indicate how much of the event is complete. Status Select Not Started, In Progress, Completed, or Deferred.
Category Select a category of event from the drop-down list. Private Meeting Select this checkbox to restrict access to the event creator and users with the Calendar Administrator role. Description Enter a description of the event. All Day Event Select this checkbox if the event lasts all day. Start/End Time fields update automatically. Start Date* Enter a start date. Start Time Enter a start time. End Date* Enter an end date. End Time Enter an end time. Reminder Enter a number and select a unit (Day, Week, or Month) to specify when reminder emails are sent. Recurring Event Select this checkbox to repeat the event. If selected, choose a recurrence pattern and a recurrence end date. -
Optional: Add Resources in the Resources section. The Select Resource window displays.
- Select the resource(s) you wish to add to the event.
- Click Add.
- Click Notify Resources to send an email notification to the resources you've added to the event.
- Click Save.
Editing a Calendar Event on a Matter
You can edit an existing calendar event on a matter.
You cannot change the Event Type after the event is created.

Open an event's overview page by one of three ways:

Click the name of the event from the Calendar tab on the Matter Overview page.

Click the name of the event on the Calendar Search page.

Click the name of the event from the Matter calendar and select View Event Overview.
The Calendar Event Overview page displays.

- Click the pencil icon. The Edit Calendar Event page displays.
- Update the event information.
- Click Save.
- Click Notify Resources to send an email notification to the resources you've added to the event.
- Click Save.
Deleting a Calendar Event on a Matter
You can delete one or more events from the Calendar tab on the Matter Overview page.
Unless you have the Calendar Administrator role, you can only delete events that you have created.
- Click the Calendar tab on the Matter Overview page.
- Select the checkbox next to the event(s) you want to delete.

Click Delete. The Delete Event Confirmation window displays.
- Choose one of the following:
- Delete & Notify: Deletes the event(s) and emails all resources.
- Delete Only: Deletes the event(s) without sending email notifications.
Applying a Calendar Template to a Matter
Calendar Templates apply a standard set of events to a matter calendar. When you apply a template, the events are created automatically.
You must have the Calendar Administrator role to apply a template to a calendar.
- Navigate to the Matter Overview page.

Click Apply Template. The Apply Template window displays.
- Select a template from the Template drop-down.
- Select From Start Date or From End Date to define how events are scheduled.
- Chose a start or end date in the Date field.
- Click Save.
The template events are added to the matter calendar.
Saving a Calendar Template from the Matter Overview Page
You can save existing calendar events on a matter as a template for future use. The template can then be applied to existing or new matters.
You must have the Calendar Administrator role to apply a template to a calendar.
- Navigate to the Matter Overview page.

Click Save Template. The Create Calendar Template window displays.
- Enter a Name for the template.
- Select Start Date or End Date. When a template is applied to a matter, the events it contains will either be scheduled from a starting point or before an ending point.
- Select a Matter Type for which the template can be applied.
- Select a Default Resource role for the template once it is applied.
- Enter a Description for the template.
- Click Save.
