Volume Discount Overview Page Layout
The Volume Discount Overview page contains all information about the discount, including the discount periods, matters attached, notes, and history of changes made. The page contains the main details area and individual tabs at the bottom.
Top Section of Overview
The main details area displays high-level information about the discount, including the law firm associated with it, currency, and status.
You can also perform the following actions:
- Edit: Make edits to the existing discount, including name, currency, or the rule that determines if incorrect discount information should be accepted or rejected. You cannot edit the law firm associated with the discount.
- Inactivate: Inactivate the discount.
Tabs
| Tab | Details |

| All | Displays all of the tabs as collapsible sections underneath. |
| Discount Periods | Displays the periods that have been created on the Volume Discount. You can add, edit, copy, or delete periods on this tab. |
| Matters | Displays a list of the matters that have been added to the discount. You can add or remove matters on this tab. |
| Notes | Displays notes left by you or the law firm regarding the discount. |
| History | Displays history of edits on the discount. |
Discounts Tab
The Discounts tab displays information about current or past discount periods.
Actions on the Discounts Tab
Once you've selected a period from the list, you can perform actions to it.

| Add | Add a new period to the discount. |
| Edit |
Make edits to the discount period you've selected. You can only make edits to one period at a time. |
| Copy Discount Period | Click this option from the More Actions drop-down to copy your selected discount period. |
| Remove Discount Period | Click this option from the More Actions drop-down to remove your selected discount period(s). |
Viewing the Existing Discount Periods
Once a discount period is added, you can view general information about it.

| Period |
Displays the length of the discount period. Click the link in the column to access the Discount Period Overview window. |
| Status | Displays the status of the period (Approved, Declined, Pending). |
| Accumulated | Displays the cumulative total of approved invoices in that discount period. |
| Required Volume (USD) | Displays the different thresholds created for that discount period. |
| Discount | Displays the discount percentage associated with the specified tier. |
Matters Tab
The Matters tab displays the list of matters affected by the discount.
Actions on the Matters Tab
Manage matters on this tab.
- Add: Add one or more matters.
- Remove: Remove one or more matters.
Viewing the Matters
Once a matter is added, you can view general information about it.

| Client Matter ID | Displays the Matter Number. |
| Matter Title | Displays the name of the matter. Click the matter link to go to its Matter Overview page. |
| Matter Status | Displays the status of the matter. |
| Invoices | Displays the number of approved invoices billed to the matter. |
| Accumulated | Displays the total amount of invoice spend on the matter. |
Notes Tab
The Notes tab displays any notes left by you or the law firm. You can use this space to ask questions or clarify edits made. The number displayed on the tab indicates the entered notes.
Click the Add button to add a note.
Viewing the Notes
Once a note is added, you can view general information about it.

| Date | Displays the date the note was entered. |
| Time | Displays the time the note was entered. |
| Type | Displays the Note Type (Internal or Law Firm). |
| Entered By | Displays the user who created the note. |
| Note | Displays the message of the note. |
History Tab
The History tab shows all change events on the discount since its creation. Click on a column title to sort the events by that detail.
Events in the History Tab

| Event | Displays the change that took place on the discount. |
| Date | Displays the date the change was made or the event happened. |
| User | Displays the user that performed the change. |
| Comments | Displays specific details about what was changed or the event that took place. |
