The Corporate Profile page displays information specific to your organization. Users with the Corporate Administrator role manage company parameters on this page, including corporate structure, organization details, and system settings.

Editing Corporate Profile Information
If needed, you can update your organization’s corporate information.
Users must have the Corporate Administrator role to make edits in the Corporate Information section.

Click Edit in the Corporate Information section of the Corporate Profile page. The Edit Corporate Profile page opens.

Update the information as necessary.
Fields marked with (*) are required.
- In the Name box, type the name of the corporation.
- In the Address, City, State, and Zip Code boxes, type the primary address of the company.
- In the Phone boxes, type the phone number of the corporation.
- In the Fax boxes, type the fax number of the corporation.
- In the Annual Revenue (USD) list, select the option that best describes the annual revenue of the corporation.
- The Preferred Currency field displays the preferred currency that was set at the time of configuration for the client. This field is not editable.
- In the Industry Sector list, select the option that best describes the industry of the corporation.
- In the Default Invoice Contact list, select the name of the person who should be notified of any invoice issues.
- Click Save.
Configuring Matter Participant Settings
CounselLink allows you to display key stakeholders on a matter. Participants may include internal employees, opposing counsel, related organizations, and other relevant contacts.
Matter Participant Settings allow you to:
- Define participant roles
- Set the required number of participants for each role
- Set a maximum number of participants
- Require a lead designation for specific roles
Inheritance of Settings
- Corporate-level settings apply to divisions and offices.
- Division-level settings apply to underlying offices.
- Office-level configuration is recommended for flexibility, as requirements may vary by matter type.
Avoid overly restrictive configurations. If a role is marked as required, all matters within that office must include the specified number of participants.
Not all organizations use Matter Participant Settings. You must have the Corporate Administrator role to make edits in this section.
- Click Edit in the Corporate Information section. The Edit Corporate Profile page opens.

In the Matter Participants Settings section:

The Participant Role column displays the list of participant roles.
You can create participant roles by clicking Categories in the QuickLinks menu on the Corporate Profile page.

- In the Number of Required Participants column, select the number of participants required for a role. Zero is selected by default. You can select a maximum of five required participants for a role.
- In the Maximum Number of Participant column, select the maximum number of participants to be added to a matter. By default, the Unlimited option is selected.
- In the Lead Designation Required column, select one of the following:
- Yes: A lead participant must be designated.
- No: No lead designation required.
- Click Save.
Modifying Regional Settings
You can modify how dates, times, numbers, and currency display throughout CounselLink.
These settings affect corporate, division, office, and user levels:
- Corporate-level settings apply by default to all divisions, offices, and users.
- Settings configured at a lower level override corporate-level settings.
You must have the Corporate Administrator role to modify regional settings.
- Click Edit in the Corporate Information section of the Corporate Profile page. The Edit Corporate Profile page displays.
- In the Regional Settings section, provide the required information:
Date Settings
Short Date Format – Select the format used in invoices and searches (e.g., 07/21/2022).
Long Date Format – Select the expanded format (e.g., July 21, 2022).
Time Settings
Time Format – Choose 12-hour or 24-hour format and separator preference.
Time Zone – Select the applicable time zone.
Number Settings
Digits in a Group – Select how digits are grouped in large numbers.
Digit Grouping Symbol – Choose the symbol used for grouping (e.g., comma or period).
Decimal Symbol – Select the symbol separating whole and fractional numbers.
Example of Negative Number – Displays a preview of the selected format.
Currency Settings
Negative Currency Format – Choose parentheses or a minus sign.
Currency Symbol Placement – Select whether the symbol appears before or after the amount.
Display Currency ISO Code – Choose whether to show or hide the ISO currency code.
Example of Negative Currency – Displays a preview.
- Click Save.
Managing Matter Spend Performance Settings
You can choose to display the total amount of approved invoices for a matter by adjusting the Matter Spend Performance Settings. Matter spend information is displayed on the Matter Overview and Invoice Overview pages.
Users must have the Corporate Administrator role to update Matter Spend Performance Settings.
- Click Edit in the Corporate Information section of the Corporate Profile page. The Edit Corporate Profile page opens.

In the Matter Spend Performance Settings section, select Yes if you want the matter spend section to be displayed on the Matter Overview and Invoice Overview pages.
- Select the time frames to display for approved matter spend totals.
- Click Save.
The display settings for matter spend performance are saved.
Disabling/Enabling Preview on PDF Documents
Some organizations may choose to disable PDF preview functionality for security reasons.

Click Edit under the Corporate Information section of the Corporate Profile page.

In the Preferences section, select to disable/enable next to 'Allow Document Preview.'
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
