About Installation
The installation file for the CounselLink Outlook 365 add-in can be found on the CounselLink homepage. After downloading it to your local computer, you can install it through the Manage Add-ins option in Outlook.
If you are currently using an older version of the CounselLink Outlook add-in, it is strongly recommended that you remove it before installing the new version.
If your organization uses SSO (single sign on), installation steps may vary based on your configuration. Contact Customer Care for assistance.

Installing for Desktop

Click the Download CounselLink Add-in for Outlook 365® link in the QuickLinks section of the Corporate Profile page.
Your organization must have the proper configurations set in order to see the link. If it does not appear, contact Customer Care.
The file begins to download.
If your organization requires administrator-based installation, a corporate administrator must download the XML file and provide it to your IT department for deployment.
- Save the downloaded file for later use.

In Outlook, click File on the Menu bar to display the Account Information screen.

Click Manage Add-ins at the bottom of the page. The 365 Outlook web version launches.

Click My add-ins located on the left side of the page.

Under Custom add-ins, click +Add a custom add-in.
If this option is disabled, contact your internal IT department.
- Select Add from file from the drop-down menu.
- Locate and select the saved manifest.xml file.
- When prompted with the warning message, click Install.
- The Add-Ins for Outlook updates, confirming that CounselLink for Outlook has been installed.
The installation is complete, and the CounselLink Outlook Add-in now appears in your Outlook ribbon.
Installing for Web
- Open a browser tab and go to https://outlook.office.com/.
- Open an email from your inbox.

Click the More Actions icon (ellipsis / three dots) in the upper-right corner of the message pane.

Click Get Add-ins from the bottom of the list. The Add-Ins for Outlook page displays.

Click My add-ins.
- Under Custom add-ins, select +Add a custom add-in.
- Select Add from file from the drop-down menu.
- Locate and select the manifest.xml file.
- When prompted with the warning message, click Install.

The Add-Ins for Outlook screen updates, displaying that CounselLink for Outlook has been installed.
Return to Outlook in your browser and click More Actions. The CounselLink add-in displays alongside the other add-ins on your list.
